A Limousine Welcomed Us at the Airport
My boss assigned me to look for a limousine we can use when we arrive in Singapore. He said that we needed to make a good impression with the business partners in Singapore and what better way to impress them than to arrive in a sleek limo. I thought it was a pretty good strategy so I went on looking for limousines right away. I called a friend who lives in Singapore and asked her if she knew a company that had limousine services. She gave me the number and I gave it to my boss right away. He said to give the number to him so he will do the booking.
On the day of our arrival in Singapore, I thought we would all just be going to our hotel to rest and freshen up. It was not like that because when we arrived at the airport, there was a man holding up a sign with the name of our company written on it. Our boss approached him as we just followed behind him. The guy holding the sign ushered us to go outside where a limousine was waiting. My boss said we were going to a fancy restaurant to get a great meal and have a little tour around the city first. After all, he said that the business meeting will be in the evening.
I was so surprised because I didn't expect our arrival to be as lavish as this. I asked my boss what was happening. He said it's called airport transfer. It's when limousines come to pick you up at the airport and take you back when it's time to go back, he added. I was so impressed that I thanked our boss for getting this for the trip. He said that it's a little bonus for our trip. After all, we only get to experience luxury travel sometimes and this might as well be one of them.
