I Cannot Work Without the Internet
The majority of the work I do for my credit card processing company is done online. Whether it is researching our payment processing competitors, emailing our merchants, or updating our website, I need to have internet access. I can't do any of this stuff without it.
Today, I was ready to get to work. I had about 100 merchant emails that I needed to respond to this morning. I had my headphones on and I was ready to just put my head down and plow through them. Except, our internet is down. That means I can't answer any of these emails.
I talked to our IT staff about the outage, which they didn't even know about at first. So now they have a call into our internet service provider to see what's going on and I am just waiting to hear back. I am really frustrated because all of this work is going to keep piling up on me. I need the internet back now!
